Fundamental Riding lessons on School Horses
$100 per lesson (discounts offered for multiple lessons purchased at a time)
At Heritage Farms Equestrian, riders engage in a comprehensive learning experience that encompasses all aspects of horse care and riding. Each 1-hour lesson allows students to develop essential skills, beginning with fetching their equine partner. Following that, they focus on grooming, which is crucial for maintaining the horse's health and well-being.
Once the horse is groomed and prepared, riders learn the proper techniques for tacking up, ensuring both rider and horse are ready for a safe and enjoyable ride. The lesson then transitions into the riding portion, where students receive guidance tailored to their individual skill levels, promoting confidence and competence in the saddle.
After the riding session, education continues with important aftercare practices. Riders are taught how to cool down their horses, check for any signs of distress or injury, and provide post-ride grooming. Riders seeking enrollment in our esteemed show program must secure a lease horse. Heritage Farms offers a select array of outstanding school horses available for lease, or we are prepared to assist you in locating the perfect partner for your riding journey.
It is important to note that half leases involve sharing the horse with another rider and encompass all associated care costs. In contrast, full leases are solely for the lease rider, with supervised riding by the trainer, and these arrangements require participation in one of our comprehensive training program options.
